WHO ARE YOU / WHO AM I?
We are open to new experiences. When we spend time working and living in some environment for many days or weeks, we enter into a close relationship with the place where we create the material, giving rise to a number of images, along with the accompanying sounds. Most of them come from our imagination. It allows us to improvise, basing on the relationship between body and mind, which is an invaluable source of inspiration.

WHO ARE YOU / WHO AM I? is a diploma project by Isabel March, a student of the Faculty of New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, in which the artist is looking for her identity and self in life and art. By creating the works that compose the project, she is trying to use art to make an internal balance of her life—thirty years of experiences and events that have defined her. The project has been completed on the basis of the philosophy of dharmic chakras. It is the spirituality of the Far East in which Isabel March finds the way to get to know herself, understand the world, the laws that govern it, and signposts guiding her toward a better life. Through art and its different disciplines, such as photography, sculpture, fashion, make-up, or video, the artist manages to materialize previously immaterial feelings and processes occurring deep inside her.
The created works and the balance achieved with them are the closing of a chapter in Isabel March’s life, and the cleansing achieved in the course of creation helps her go back to the beginnings—WHITENESS—a clean slate, and start a new chapter.
